Our “Kamakura Warabi Mochi” does not contain any preservatives, so the shelf life is “until the next day” from the date of purchase. Please consume it as soon as possible.
To maintain the texture, please store it at room temperature in a cool place. You can also chill it in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes before eating, if you prefer. Please consume it immediately after taking it out of the refrigerator as the kinako (soybean flour) will become watery.
We do not offer online sales or mail orders for “Kamakura Warabi Mochi”. The process of making warabi mochi is carefully crafted by artisans. We ensure the best quality and freshness when providing it to our customers. We receive many inquiries about mail orders, but currently, it is not possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you to visit our nearby stores to enjoy “Kamakura Warabi Mochi” along with your sightseeing.
No, it is made with a unique blend of rare domestic warabi starch and Kamakura’s secret formula. This blend creates a chewy texture and melt-in-your-mouth sensation that cannot be achieved with warabi starch alone.
Currently, we cannot sell the pottery as it is made by a few potters. However, due to high demand from customers, we plan to sell it once the production system is in place.
Since these are original products, the exact same items cannot be purchased, but a similar series can be found at “Kyoto Hiyoshiya” under the name “Kotori”.
Our stores are opened nationwide by owners who have completed their training under the norenwake system.
