韓国をルーツとするシンガーのBaku(バク)と、トラックメイカーのSHINTA(シンタ)、トップライナーのyacco(ヤッコ)によるプロデュースデュオ=tee tea(ティー・ティー)によるプロジェクト=DURDN。グループ名は映画「ファイト・クラブ」の主人公でブラッド・ピット演じる、タイラー・ダーデンからきており、2021年1月16日にリリースしたシングル「Conflict」で活動を本格的にスタート。 当時全くの無名ながらその洗練されたクオリティの高いサウンドと、ボーカルワークでSpotifyを中心に多くのプレイリストにピックアップされ注目を集めてきた。2021年には活動開始から12か月連続のリリースを達成、その中でも4月にリリースした「忘れたいね」では多数のラジオ局でOAを獲得。J-WAVE TOKIO HOT 100でも最高位38位を記録した。2022年1月にはEP『306』を発表、リリースを記念して初のLiveパフォーマンスとなった有観客イベントを表参道Wall&Wallにて開催した。また8月3日にリリースされたシングル「何年後も」がダイハツ タフト「TOUGH LIFE」篇のCMソングとして抜擢。その後8月31日にリリースされたyamaの2ndアルバム『Versus the night』に収録の「マスカレイド」へも楽曲提供も行った。2023年に入り、Spotifyが発表する2023年の躍進を期待する次世代アーティスト『RADAR：Early Noise 2023』10組に選出。またP.A.WORKS制作の新作オリジナルTVアニメーション『Buddy Daddies』のエンディングテーマに新曲「My Plan」が起用されるなど、わずか2年で着々とキャリアを積み上げているDURDN。今後も日韓を股にかけ活躍が期待される注目のアーティストだ。
DURDN is a three-piece project with singer Baku who has a Korean heritage and the producer duo, tee tea, consisting of trackmaker SHINTA and topliner yacco. It all started with the single "Conflict" released January 16, 2021, and although at the time they were a completely new and unknown artist, their sophisticated, well-developed sound and vocal arrangements garnered popularity, featuring them in various playlists including Spotify. Subsequent to their startup release of "Conflict" in January, DURDN managed to release one track every month over 12 consecutive months during 2021. In 2022, single " 何年後も /Nannnengomo" released August 3 and soundtracked the "TOUGH LIFE" versions of commercials for Daihatsu TAFT. The same month, DURDN contributed music for the track "Masquerade" on #yama's second album "Versus the night," released August 31. 2023, the group was named Spotify's "RADAR： Early Noise 2023," chosen as one of ten, forecast as promising next-gen artists of the year. Their latest track "My Plan" is the ending theme for the production by P.A.WORKS, TV anime "Buddy Daddies," broadcast on networks including Tokyo MX starting January 6. The media exposure, recognition, and tie-ins accomplished in only two years is nothing short of incredible and leaves us hopeful for what's to come in their exciting career, maybe to be based in both Japan and Korea!
