Contemporary Variations 2025

The audio files cannot be edited so make sure to choose a variation where the tempo is suitable for you.

Information about Jorma Elo’s Plan to B variation:

• On the contrary to what is indicated in the video, the variation is gender neutral for the 2025 edition of the competition.
• Costume: For boys like in video, solid coloured t-shirt and black shorts. For girls, solid coloured leotard and black shorts.

Selected candidates must submit a new headshot via the 2nd registration form. Please see below examples of headshots that meet our requirements for all the printed material of the upcoming Prix de Lausanne 2025.

HEADSHOT EXAMPLES

Thanks to generous sponsors, the Prix de Lausanne can offer financial support to candidates who may be in need. Applicants must contact the Prix de Lausanne to communicate their intention to apply for financial support before their registration for the video selection, on 30 September 2024, at the latest. If the candidate is selected, they will then have to send the formal application before 4 November 2024. More information can be found in our Rules and Regulations.

Can I edit the audio file of my variation? 

You are required to dance on the official music available on our website. Editing of any sort is not possible. Please choose carefully your variation knowing that you will have to dance on the official music’s tempo.

What are the clothing requirements?

What is the Networking Forum?

The Networking Forum gives the candidates who are not selected for the Finals an opportunity to be seen by schools and companies Directors from all around the world. Selected candidates will receive more practical information during the month of January.

I can no longer participate in the competition, am I eligible for a refund?

If you can no longer participate in the competition, please inform us as soon as possible. As mentioned in the Rules & Regulations, registration fees are non-refundable no matter the reason of cancelation.
