NSP’s High Definition Technology (HDT) construction redefines the boundaries of surfboard manufacturing. It is now possible to have a board that is incredibly tough, lightweight and high-performance at an affordable price.
Created specifically for the Shapers Union range, HDT pairs high-performance designs with precision moulding technology, ensuring accurate reproduction and dynamic flex characteristics. HDT uses a model-specific, fully fused and water-resistant SecureCell EPS Core, military-grade fibreglass and foaming epoxy resin. Moulded in NSP’s high-tech vacuum moulds, this reduces waste and environmental impact of a traditionally produced surfboard by 30%.
HDT also creates an exceptionally durable shell that offers unmatched strength and lightweight performance, with 50% higher breakage strength at a lower weight than similar boards built in PU.
Implemented at the request of some of the world’s best board builders in the Shapers Union, NSP HDT construction provides consistent performance and durability session after session, elevating the surfing experience with premium materials and innovative technology.

Established to bring new energy and performance to the surf line-up, Shapers Union is NSP’s way to showcase the incredible skill and talent of some of the most accomplished shapers in the world.
Having collaborated with numerous world champions, from longboarding to shortboarding, these artists and their shapes are now accessible to riders worldwide through NSP and the Shaper’s Union.
Living in the Noosa area, a legendary longboard spot, Tully St.John has established himself as the go-to shaper for longboard shapes in Australia and beyond.. His knowledge of shaping and construction is an essential part of the Shaper’s Union DNA.
