NIST Standard Reference Database 83

NIST Structural Database

NIST Structural Database has been superseded by NIST Inorganic Crystal Structure Database (ICSD)  SRD 3

The NIST Structural Database contains crystallographic and atomic position information for metallic crystalline substances, including alloys, intermetallics and minerals. About half of the entries represent experimentally refined structures; in the remaining half, the structure type has been published by the authors or editorially assigned (the atomic parameters of the structure type may be assumed as a first approximation). Pertinent chemical, physical and bibliographic information are included. The database is distributed in an ASCII format, convenient for reading into a variety of database management systems or processing by independent software routines. No interface is provided. All data have been evaluated under the auspices of the National Research Council Canada and the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The data have been extracted from the literature published up to 1995. Period updates will be released as more recent data are collected, evaluated and processed.
