Call for Papers: Workshop on Innovation in Metadata Privacy-Analysis and Construction Techniques (IMPACT) 2025

The call for papers is now open.

We encourage researchers to submit short papers on ongoing or planned work that can be read by participants in advance of the event. The workshop will schedule 20 minute slots for presentations, broken into a 15-minute talk followed by a 5-minute Q&A period.

Submission Guidelines for Papers

Papers: IMPACT short papers can cover emerging research, work in progress and position papers. Short papers must be between 4-6 pages excluding references. Papers must be sent as Portable Document Format (PDF).

Papers must follow the instructions and use the NDSS templates. Papers must be formatted for US letter size (not A4) paper in a two-column layout, with columns no more than 9.25 in. high and 3.5 in. wide. The text must be in Times font, 10-point or larger, with 11-point or larger line spacing. IMPACT is without proceedings, however papers will be published on our website.

Areas of Interest

IMPACT seeks submissions related to all aspects of metadata privacy. The primary topics for the workshop’s call for papers include but not limited to:

  • Anonymous communication networks
  • Mixnets
  • Metadata-private cryptographic systems (ORAM, PIR etc.)
  • Traffic Analysis
  • Metadata privacy for peer-to-peer or decentralised systems
  • Works exploring the interconnection between different areas of metadata privacy
