By becoming a MEDAE member your organization will be able to
Join a sharing community on Mediterranean agroecology
You’ll be able to work with multi-disciplinary, multi-horizon organizations and collaborate more synergistically to promote agroecology in the Mediterranean. The network offers the opportunity to collaborate with members with similar interests, as well as with members with specific expertise that your organization lacks, or whose expertise are complementary.
You can exchange information, practices, experiences and know-how, and co-construct knowledge with various stakeholders in Mediterranean agroecology: research institutes, technical institutes, universities, development organizations, farmers, value chain stakeholders, local authorities, governmental organizations, individual experts…
You can access capacity-building opportunities (exchanges between members, training by experts, study trips, etc.).
Increase political representation and influence
The MEDAE network will enable you to increase your organization’s representation and influence in national and international policy dialogues through coordination and partnership, creating a stronger, unified and recognized voice for agroecology.
You’ll be able to take part in joint actions to identify priorities and draw up political and scientific recommendations in favor of agroecology.
Increase your visibility
You can strengthen your online presence and promote your work on MEDAE’s digital communication media (website and social media). You can share your organization’s events (seminars, workshops, etc.), publications (scientific publications, other resources) and offers (internships, jobs, etc.).
You may also be asked to share your experience at webinars or events organized by the network.
Access to financing and projects
You can participate in projects developed by the network or by network member organizations. Project proposals associated with this type of network are more likely to secure funding.
Access information
Your organization will receive MEDAE communications about important events, webinars, exchange times, publications, and funding opportunities.
As a member, you’ll receive exclusive information, opportunities and invitations to events.
Contribute to network activities and decisions
You can join working groups and play an active part in network activities.
Your organization (only for boards A,B,C) can be elected (through a focal point) to the network steering committee.
You can take part in the network’s annual meeting.
MEDAE members are organizations of various statuses and operating at different scales. Each member organization is represented by a focal point, who is the network’s main contact for his or her organization.
Each application will be examined on a case-by-case basis and validated by the MEDAE steering committee.

Step 4
Members of MEDAE are organizations with official status. However, the MEDAE network recognizes the importance of the expertise of resource persons whose skills and experience in Mediterranean agroecology will enrich its activities.
In this way, resource persons, who do not themselves belong to member organizations, can be sponsored by member organizations to take part in network activities and share their expertise.
If you are a member organization and you would like to sponsor an individual expert, please complete, sign and return the following form (in French or English) to animation@medae-agroecology.eu
Please note that each member organization can only sponsor a maximum of 2 expert individuals.
