State Minister Takemura visited Berlin, Germany from June 9 to 12 to attend the " Japan-Ukraine Public-Private Roundtable".
1. The "Japan-Ukraine Public-Private Roundtable”
State Minister Takemura expressed his commitment to further cooperation between the public and private sectors to accelerate the reconstruction and development of Ukrainian agriculture at the "Japan-Ukraine Public-Private Roundtable", hosted by METI and JETRO held on June 10, with the participation of Ukrainian government officials and private sector executives.
At the roundtable, the document of cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine (MAPF) was presented to facilitate travel assistance to the Ukrainians involved in cooperation activities, and to assist the procedures related to customs clearance of goods used in cooperation activities in Ukraine, etc.
In addition, 4 documents of cooperation were also presented between 4 Japanese companies, including agricultural machinery manufacturers, and Ukrainian organizations such as MAPF.
The total number of cooperation documents in the field of agriculture, forestry and fisheries reached 13, including 8 documents signed at the “Japan-Ukraine Conference for Economic Growth and Reconstruction” held in Japan in February this year.
