Raquel León Martín received a telecommunication engineer degree and a research Master’s degree in telecommunication technologies from the ULPGC, Spain in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Since then, she has been conducting research in the Integrated System Design Division, Institute for Applied Microelectronics (IUMA), ULPGC, in the field of electronics and bioengineering. In 2018, she started work as a researcher on the ITHaCA project (hyperspectral identification of brain tumors). In 2020. she obtained a predoctoral research grant from the Canary Islands Government. Currently, she is a Ph.D. student in telecommunication technologies and computer engineering, and her current research interests include use of HSI for real-time cancer detection. She has co-supervised 11 Degree Final Projects and Master’s Thesis at the ULPGC and has published 8 conference papers and 7 journal papers (4 Q1-JCR y 3 Q2-JCR).
