Anonymous Data Collection
You can visit the webpages of the GO FAIR initiative without telling us who you are. We only get to know the name of your internet service provider, the website from which you came to our website and which of our webpages you visit. This information will be used for statistical purposes. You as an individual customer remain anonymous.

Service Providers
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our service (e.g. Implementation Networks coordination, outreach and linking, including but not limited to mailings and events organisation) to provide the service on our behalf, to perform service-related services or to assist us in analysing how our service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Tracking
This website uses the etracker service to analyse usage data on this website. This service is configured to use cookie less tracking by default. The processing of the data is necessary for the optimisation of this website and is based on Article 6 section 1 lit. f of the GDPR. Data that allows us to reference individual persons are anonymised or pseudonymised as soon as possible. We will not use the data for other purposes, will not combine it with other data and will not forward it to third parties.

Events
As part of services provided, the GFISCO would organise or may support organisation of events for communities engaged with the GO FAIR initiative. Depending on the type of event, a registration form linked from this website may be used to collect personal data of the event participants. Extent of and details about processing of the data collected would be defined by the event registration form which also allows for consent of the participant.

In order to provide you with the best possible information, we offer links to third parties’ websites on our website. Whenever it is not obvious that these are external links we will provide an explicit notice. Our institutions cannot control the contents and design of third parties’ websites. Therefore, the guarantees given by this data protection statement do not apply to those websites.

Social Media
The GFISCO is active in social media networks in order to engage with our target group, to advert them to our services, and to share information with them.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) prescribes legal standards in particular for the usage of service providers not based in the EU. In these cases, your personal data will possibly be transferred to the USA and processed there.

Service providers normally use personal data for purposes of market research and advertising. For this, cookies are installed on your computer that record your usage behaviour which can be used to compile user profiles. E-mails
If you send us an e-mail, we will use your e-mail address only for corresponding with you. After the end of correspondence, your e-mail address will be deleted. It will not be used for other purposes or transmitted to third parties. We also advise you that unauthorised access and falsification are possible if e-mails are transmitted without encryption.

Newsletter
On this website, the ZBW offers a newsletter, to which you can subscribe within the scope of a consent. For legal reasons, you will receive an e-mail after the registration to confirm your subscription to the newsletter (double opt-in). The collected data will be used exclusively for sending the newsletter and will not be passed on to third parties. In addition to the data in the registration process, your IP address as well as the date and the time of your registration will be stored in order to be able to prove your consent.

You can revoke your consent at any time. In this case, please unsubscribe either via the website through which you registered or click on the link at the end of a newsletter to stop receiving it. Your personal data will be deleted from the server of the provider.

The ZBW uses the provider Sendinblue to send the newsletter.
