Results of The G7ANPE Seminar at COP28 (2023.12.11)

Seminar Overview

In December 2022, a new global goal for 2030, the Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, was adopted. Economic transformation is critical to achieving the Nature Positive, which calls for "halting and reversing biodiversity loss by 2030. In addition, bridging high-level policy engagement with on-the-ground Nature Positive activities led by the business community is essential to translating global goals into practical actions. These links will facilitate the effective implementation of environmental policies and the involvement of business in concrete initiatives to halt and reverse biodiversity loss.

This seminar aims to broadly share with the international community the technologies, products, and business models needed to make the transition to nature positive economies. The G7 Alliance on Nature Positive Economies presented the results of its activities, including synergies with GHG Zero Emissions, and shared and discussed examples of how G7ANPE and companies are working together toward Nature Positive Economies.
