The Scientific Board of Masaryk University has nominated twelve candidates for appointment as professors, eight of whom are work at MU. The other two new Masaryk University professors were proposed by the Research Board of Charles University and the Scientific Board of the University of Defence. The Faculty of Science has the highest number of new professors (five), followed by the Faculty of Arts with three new professors.
In addition to people from Masaryk University, the MU Scientific Board has proposed four candidates from Hradec Králové University, Charles University, the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and Palacký University Olomouc.
The ceremony was held in the Karolinum Great Hall in the presence of Minister of Education Mikuláš Bek.
