What are the details of and reasons for the stock split and adoption of a unit share system implemented on October 1, 2013?

Effective October 1, 2013, the Company conducted a stock split at a ratio of 100 shares to one share. At the same time, we adopted a unit share system with 100 shares per unit. Our trading unit on the securities exchange was changed to 100 shares on September 26, 2013 (Thursday). There is no effective change in the investment unit as a result of the stock split and adoption of a unit share system. This action was taken in accordance with the purport of the “Action Plan for the Aggregation of Trading Units” announced by the Japanese stock exchanges in November 2007.

Shareholders who hold 100 shares or more of the Company's stock as of the end of September of each year are eligible for the shareholder benefit program, which offers a free coupon for the premium service of ABEMA, provided by our consolidated subsidiary AbemaTV, Inc.
