Burton & Anon Warranty Repair Guidelines
How do I make a warranty repair claim?
It’s easy! Reach out to a Guide with photos and a description of your item to confirm that it is eligible for a warranty claim, then submit your claim by filling out the form below. Please note the Burton warranty is only valid for the original purchaser and requires proof of purchase from an official authorized retailer.
In some cases, a spare part is all you need. If you know what you need for your bindings, helmet or boots, and your item is not covered under warranty, you can check out our Spare Parts & Accessories section.

What are the Burton & Anon warranties?
What Does Lifetime Warranty Mean?
The term "Lifetime" refers to the reasonable lifetime of the product. This does not mean your lifetime but rather the lifetime of the materials and components that go into the finished product. We do our best to select high quality materials and components that meet our quality standards, but even the best materials have a lifespan and will eventually degrade. We evaluate a product’s lifetime by its intended use and how much use it gets, and not by how old it is.
Lifetime Warranty Coverage
· [ak] Jackets and Pants (since 2003)
· Binding baseplates (since 2005)
· Bag collections (since Fall 2008/Winter2009)
· All apparel, base layers, gloves, and soft goods (since July 12th, 2018)
Will my item be repaired or replaced?
We will make every effort to replace limited edition or discontinued products but cannot guarantee their availability for replacement, in case the item is not reparable. Any limited edition or discontinued product still covered by warranty that cannot be replaced with an identical product will be replaced with the equivalent model based on availability. We may make changes to products and designs in the time you purchased your product and submitted a warranty claim. Products repaired or replaced under this warranty may or may not incorporate these changes.
Warranty Shipping Policy
Charges for shipping and insuring packages to Burton Snowboards are the customers´ responsibility. Burton Snowboards is not responsible for lost packages. Burton Snowboards will cover the shipping costs to send the products back to the customers once the warranty has been completed. How can I find out the status of my repair claim?
You can track your package with your shipper to determine the deliver status. Within 48 hours (Monday – Friday and excluding holidays) of receiving your package, we’ll send you an email confirming receipt of your item and our Warranty Team will check it in for evaluation. Once we’ve evaluated your item we’ll contact you to let you know the results of our evaluation and next steps. Repairs typically take 3-4 weeks but can be longer during the peak winter season, November – March.
How long will it take to evaluate my repair claim?
Our goal is to check in and evaluate your repair claim within 48 hours (Monday – Friday and excluding holidays) of receipt. Once we’ve evaluated your item we’ll contact you with next steps.
How long will the repair take?
The repair turnaround time depends on the type of repair. Our typical repair turnaround time is 3-4 weeks, but can be longer during our peak winter season, November - March. We will contact you with the repair turnaround time once we have completed our evaluation.
Does my item need to be clean before sending it in for repair?
Yes. For safety and sanitary reasons, we require all Outerwear and Clothing be cleaned and dry prior to sending in for repair evaluation. If any item is received dirty, the repair might not be made or delayed, and a cleaning fee charged.
What types of damage are not covered by the warranty policy?
Damage due to misuse, abuse, accidents, neglect, normal wear and tear, theft or damage caused by anything other than defect in materials and workmanship are not covered by the warranty policy.
What if my product is not covered under warranty?
If your item is not covered under the warranty policy but is repairable, we can return the item to you “as is” or complete the repair for a reasonable charge. We’ll contact you to discuss your options.
What is “wear and tear”?
Nothing lasts forever, even though we wish it could! Products exposed to the elements and used frequently can show wear and tear faster than those used less frequently. Your product may simply have reached the end of its practical lifetime.
Tips to Protect Your Gear
Watch Your Edges
Burton snowboards are built with sharp metal edges that give exceptional grip and edge hold on snow. When not strapped in, whether hiking the pipe or sitting on the lift, that same metal edge can do a number on fabrics. Jackets, pants, and even boots can be cut from a board edge if you're not careful. Being aware of your edges at all times will make your gear last and perform the way it was designed.
Chairlift vs. Highback
Every now and then you may encounter a chairlift with a lower than normal loading area. Protect your highback by folding it down prior to getting on the chair. Your bindings will thank you.
Waterproofing
When a jacket or pair of pants seems to have lost some of its water proofing, a simple wash can often restore it. Refer to the washing instructions located inside each garment or call the Burton Guides at 800-881-3138 for assistance.
