JOINT USAGE/RESEARCH | ARIHHP, University of Tsukuba

Organizations provided support document for the Joint Usage / Research Center recognition

The science behind the development of fundamental technologies for the maximization of human abilities and performance form a new system of scholarship, one that establishes a scientific core consisting not only of conventional physical education and sports research, but also health science and sports medicine that serve to promote the advancement of human fitness and wellness. This system has been assigned an important mission: to support and endorse policies that will make Japan a “Nation of Health and Longevity” by 2030. We have obtained the endorsement of researchers from the following communities.

April 8, 2024

ARIHHP, at the Institute of Health and Sport Science at the University of Tsukuba, was established in July 2015. Our mission is to maximize comprehensive human performance as reflected in “mind, body and technique” through the development of exercise, nutrition and rest (sleep) programs, sports technologies, equipment and training methods. To achieve our goal and to promote strong fundamental research by collaborating with domestic and overseas academic and research organizations that share our mission, every year we invite submissions for public research projects that are conducive to the goals of ARIHHP. This academic year, we are increasing the scope and number of themes as compared with the previous year. Applicants should obtain the consent of the director of the organization or facility to which they belong. In addition, please consult with the representative faculty member of each theme prior to submitting an application.
