Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC)

Leaders in the making

We aim to develop Air and Space Force leaders of character whom we expect to fight and win our Nation’s wars. We accomplish this through an integrated training program combining academics, physical fitness, and character development. The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps has a strong tradition at Iowa State as it established its first cadet corps in January of 1949. Since then, we have called the Armory building our home. Detachment 250 has produced countless top-notch leaders who have made a difference in the world we live in today.
