What this course covers
By the end of the course, you’ll have made one page or post very SEO friendly and learned the techniques to apply across all your site content and any other site you own. We’ll do this in a step by step fashion introducing you to new techniques, explaining how they work and then show how to apply them to your site.
Who is this course aimed at
This is an SEO course for beginners designed to equip you with SEO basics for WordPress.com. That said, our goal is to ensure however much or little understanding you have of SEO you can gain value from this course.
What tools will I need
- A computer with internet access
- A WordPress.com account and site
- A commitment to completing the assignments, all at your own pace
- A basic understanding of the WordPress software, dashboard and features (or a willingness to learn as you go)
Although you can complete this course using a website hosted anywhere, we focus our examples using WordPress.com as we believe this is the best hosting platform for a website and for SEO. You can also complete most of the lessons with a free plan WordPress.com site but we’ll also be mentioning extra tools you can use if you want to really stand out. Some of these may be paid products.
