Bareya Khan is the Operations Coordinator for Whose Knowledge?. She has worked in various capacities in the humanitarian and development sector, as well as in grassroots student-politic organisations. She is experienced in coordinating logistics and procurement for fundraising, publicity and advocacy events. She is strongly passionate about giving back to her ancestral communities through distributive and reparative justice, and believes firmly that women-led grassroots community work to empower communities, is a key way of doing that. She has formerly worked at the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), as well as a range of NGOs, including Humanity First, Care4Calais and Collective Aid. Bareya holds a BA in Human, Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge. When not comparing quotes and drowning in a sea of spreadsheets, Bareya enjoys continuing her engagement in the refugee and migration sector, cooking dishes from around the world, and spending time with her chosen family and friends.
