Abstract
Object-orientation is a well-known paradigm to be applied in the field of computer graphics, e.g., to build class hierarchies of graphical primitives using inheritance. However, a clear framework for modeling primitives in an object-oriented manner is still unavailable. This article describes the functional requirements, the abstract realization, and a concrete implementation of a resulting object-oriented modeling paradigm that has its roots in display-list-based systems and takes advantage of multiple inheritance.
