Abstract

Obtaining on-the-go medical grade reliable data in noisy environment is a challenge faced by developers across the globe. While transporting patients, mobile phones connected wirelessly to the sensors have tremendous lifesaving applications. Recent trends in research have shown promises in the use of continuous biomedical signals for Biometric applications. However, practical applications of such systems will be possible only if they can generate real time medical grade data in environment having radical noise. This paper details the design and development of B.E.A.T. ® - an innovative system which captures medical grade physiological signals using 2 leads with or without the use of pre-gelled electrodes over Android OS.
