Abstract

Mental disorders affect more than 300 million people in the world, including mood disorders, whose main characteristic is an alteration of mood. The diagnosis of mood disorder is made in cases where sadness or euphoria are too intense, accompanied by other characteristic symptoms and the limitation of the ability to lead a normal life physically, socially and at work. This project focused on developing a system comprised of a web and mobile application to help people suffering from mood disorders by providing self-assessment to determine depressive and psychotic symptoms, elevated mood and irritability, as well as resources on how to communicate and obtain professional care. The system will provide progress assessments that can help you track where you are and establish future guidelines.
