On-Trip Safety Measures

At Trek Travel, we’ve spent over 20 years making sure every trip is filled with wow moments, not worries. As we continue to adapt to an ever-changing world, our focus remains on exceptional hospitality, unforgettable experiences, and making sure everyone feels their best—guides and guests alike!

Healthy Travel Starts Here

  • Let’s start strong: We recommend wearing a mask while traveling to your destination—whether on flights or public transit—so we can all arrive feeling great.
  • Peace of mind, just in case: Travel protection is a great way to cover unexpected costs on the road. You can add a plan up to 10 days before departure by emailing guestservices@trektravel.com if you would like to add a travel protection plan to your booking. You can do so up until 10 days before you travel.

For our trips in 2025, if you start feeling under the weather on trip due to a respiratory illness, here’s what you can expect:

  1. Keep exploring—safely: If you choose to continue traveling while experiencing symptoms [along with your travel partner(s)], we’ll ask you to mask up indoors, in vehicles, and during group activities. To keep everyone comfortable, we’ll also arrange separate dining for you and your travel companion.
  2. Need to adjust plans? We’ve got you! Trek Travel is here to help with travel arrangements, filing a Travel Protection Claim, or connecting you with our travel services partners to find the best alternative plan.

We can’t wait to travel with you—let’s make it an adventure to remember!

Prepared Guides

  • The best part of every Trek Travel trip is the guides. They are true professionals, trained for any situation, and always ready with safety protocols and a clear communication plan.
  • All Trek Travel guides are certified in First Aid, CPR, and mechanical support, and they stay up to date on CDC sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for every guest.
  • Before each trip, guides complete a self-health check to prioritize well-being for everyone traveling.

Bontrager Wavecel Helmet

Created by a team of doctors, researchers, and engineers, WaveCel protects your head and absorbs the energy created by an angled impact. As a result, WaveCel has been shown in a recent study to be up to 48x more effective than traditional foam helmets in protecting your head from injuries caused by certain cycling accidents.
