Errors in Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows occurring after the installation of Windows updates

Issue
Windows updates listed in the table below may interfere with the operation of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows.
After the installation of a Windows update, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows keeps functioning correctly, and the security of the system remains intact, but installation of a minor update for Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows (for example, upgrading from version 12.1 to 12.2) becomes unavailable.

Solution
If Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows does not start after the operating system upgrade (for example, from 22H1 to 22H2):
- Download kes_setup_util.
- Run cmd.exe with the administrator rights and execute the command:
kes_setup_util.exe /unblock
- Wait until the tool completes its work.
- Restart the computer or force run the AVP service using the command:
sc start avp
- If Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows still does not start, proceed to the solution below.
If Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows fails to start after the installation of the Windows updates from the table above:
- Install a fix from the table above, if available. If the fix for your Windows version has not been released yet, delete the Windows update that causes the issue.
- Restart your computer.
- Uninstall Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows. If the application cannot be removed in a regular way:
- Download kes_setup_util.
- Run cmd.exe with the administrator rights and execute the command:
kes_setup_util.exe /unblock
- Try uninstalling Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows once again. If the issue persists, use the kavremover tool.
- Install Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows once again.
If an error occurs at the installation of a minor update for Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows, for example, version 12.2:
- Install a fix from the table above, if available. If the fix for your Windows version has not been released yet, delete the Windows update that causes the issue.
- Restart your computer.
- Run a database update in Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows.
- Try installing the new version of Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows again.
If Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows cannot be removed or upgraded or an MSP patch cannot be installed:
- Run a database update in Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows.
- Try to perform the action that resulted in an error once again.
