Search the internet using Safari on Mac

Go to the Safari app
on your Mac.
Enter a word or phrase in the Smart Search field.
As you type, Safari Suggestions appear.
Choose a suggestion, or press Return to search using your selected search engine.
When you click a suggestion, Safari takes you to the webpage or provides you with an interactive preview containing handy information.
Tip: If you set up iCloud for Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, Safari shows suggestions from your browsing history, bookmarks, and open webpages on all your Apple devices.
You can also use Siri or search with Spotlight to search the web, find information on your Mac, and more.
To learn more, choose Apple menu in the sidebar, click Search Privacy, then click About Siri Suggestions, Search & Privacy. (You may need to scroll down.)
