Why Early Access?

“Just as you helped us shape Dead Cells during its Early Access period, we would like to gather your thoughts to help make Windblown as great as it can possibly be. The Early Access period will help us improve constantly on the game based on your feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We want to make sure we are happy with the state of the game before making it available as a full release. We think a minimum of one year will be required to bring the game to where we want it to be, but we want to keep the flexibility to use more time if it allows us to improve the experience for you the players.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Windblown should include more biomes and levels as well as new weapons and more variety amongst them. The experience we gathered on Dead Cells allows us to project a bit more easily how different our 1.0 version should be from the Early Access version. This will also allow us to drastically improve the balancing of the game and stability of the multiplayer features to make sure you have the best experience possible.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version of the game includes 5 biomes and 12 main weapons, and is fully playable with 1, 2 or 3 players. However we will iterate on this scope as we gather your feedback to bring you more content regularly throughout the Early Access period.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We will increase the price of Windblown as it exits Early Access, but may also consider doing a slight increase within the Early Access period if we feel we have brought significant content and value to your experience. We want to make sure the price of the game is always fair for you based on the quality, variety and duration of your gameplay experience.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We really want to make sure to involve you throughout the whole process of the Early Access. As EA players, we will frequently make surveys available to you so that we can gather your thoughts on specific areas of the game - and cater specific playtest sessions.
