Satisfactory
We ordered the LTE edition but the WiMax version was delivered to us, maybe in view of the places we would be heading to.
The pocket-wifi was NEC manufactured. It has only two buttons on it, but was very user-friendly. At least we bever had to set anything. The battery, upon normal usage, lasted about half-day or more. If you shut it down when it's out of signal (in rural places, abroad JR trains, tunnel, etc), I think it can last a day. Anyway, it uses the mainstream micro usb interface so we kept it charged all the way by mobile power bank.
We reverted it to Rakuten via the default carrier (with the cat logo) from Kyoto which cost 740 yen. The total cost therefore is 4725+740 yen.
Overall nice.
