【X-Men is X-tremely Well Done!!】
I have never read any X Men comic books or watched any of the cartoons.
However, ever since I saw the trailer, I knew this was a must see movie.
In "X-Men" the world is experiencing a strange mutant phenomenon.
The X-Men are a band of mutant humans born with powers and abilities far beyond those of normal humans.
There are two groups of mutants, one good and one evil.
Even so, all of the mutants are hated by the general population and are persecuted because of their genetic mutations and because they are in the minority.
Fighting against the forces evil with the X-Men are Dr. Jean Gray (Famke Janssen) with her telekinetic powers, Storm (Halle Berry) with her ability to manipulate weather, Cyclops (James Marsden) with his destructive laserlight eyesight, and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) who has sharp blades that extend from his hands, and is capable of healing any wound he sustains.
Magneto is the head of the evil band of mutants.
Not only is this movie filled with action, but also, the character development is incredible, the plot is totally believable and at times it is comical and even heart-warming.
In addition, the main thing I liked about the movie was the message and how similar it is to events that occurred in America's history.
For example, Professor X's dream of peace and harmony among mutants and humans, reminds me of Martin Luther King's dream of racial harmony. In addition, the general theme of racism and persecution is something that has existed in our society for a long time and will probably stick around for a while.*****
In the battle of good over evil we know who wins...for now at least. I really loved this movie and recommend going to see it if your not a die hard X-Men fan.
I have nothing bad to say about it except for the fact that it went by quickly and seemed rather short.
Otherwise, this flychick gives it two snaps up in a cirlce!!
