好き嫌いが分かれる作品だと思いますが、自分は好きです。 ７泊レンタルで何度も観てしまい「手元に欲しい」と思えた作品です。 第２次対戦直前の、ユダヤ人迫害の危機に追われながらも力強く生き抜くヒロインにクリスティーナ・リッチ、彼女が心を赦し激しく愛し合うジプシーにジョニー・デップ。そして野望を抱くロシア人ダンサー役のケイト・ブランシェット。イタリア人オペラ歌手にジョン・タトゥーロ。４人のそれぞれの人生が運命に導かれながら展開する、とても興味深かったです。 そして音楽。オペラ音楽に触れることができるのも魅力だし、何と言ってもこの作品で「タラフ・ドゥ・ハイドゥークス」に出会ってしまった衝撃は凄いものがありました。タラフ自身がこの映画に出演していて、ロマ音楽の真髄を観たというか、時に物悲しく、時にこの上なく力強いサウンドに心奪われました。

【A beautiful & sensitive movie.】 "THE MAN WHO CRIED" is [fair warning] in the nature of a idealistic chick-flick with an overlay of socio-political importance.+++ But this film defies pretty much all of the possible negatives, and succeeds almost despite itself. I almost did not buy this movie after reading the reviews by critics. I got it after much ordering and canceling, and I tell you, its the best ... I ever spent. This movie is the best acted, best story-line, best all around movie I have seen in years. If you are an action, blood & gore person forget it. If you love a wonderful movie, with great scenery, this is your movie. Christina Ricci, Suzie, is amazing in this role. She can show more emotion with a simple look, than most actors ever show. Christina Ricci is not an actress I like to watch at all.. .. I think she just about ruined SLEEPY HOLLOW.. .. but don't let this bother you in TMWC.!! For one thing, she has very few lines to dully deliver, and remarkably enough, she doesn't look foul.. .. tempered or pouty more than once or twice.★★★★★ Johnny Depp has very few lines, and in previous reviews, is treated as if he is not a principle player, but in fact, his role is critical to the whole story.***** I just didn't care what was happening. I liked watching great actors practice their craft, and I cared about them, but I couldn't get involved in the story. I know there was some subplot involving a white horse.. .. but I couldn't tell you the significance, except to make the Johnny Depp character look sensitive, but he does that anyway. I would definitely recommend it for fans of the actors, but I couldn't recommend it as entertainment.★★★★★

ジョニー・デップはヒッピーとか流れ者なんか、この手の役も上手いですね。 悲しい別れだけれども、壮大な気分になります。 彼女の歌声もタイトル通りに本当に心に響き耳に残ります。

やりきれないものが残る映画です。 ジョニーがカッコイイです(^^)

ジョニー・デップのファンの妻が観終わって大感激でした。 パイレーツ・シリーズしか知らない彼のファンの方にはぜひ お勧めしたい作品だそうです。パイレーツまでにこの作品のような渋い演技で魅力的だったんだなぁと実感させられます。

とても好きな作品です。音楽がとても素敵で、絶対欲しいと思いました。私にとっては永遠の名作になりそうです。悲しいけれど考えさせられる作品。ジョニーとクリスティーナの２人。目で演じるって感じが何とも言えません。私的にはおすすめ。

これも、期待以上に良かった作品。ジョニー・ディップがなんて自然に生きてるんだろう。この人は、こういう役が実に良く似合う。この映画全編に流れるオペラの名曲が実に象徴的に使われている。そして、アリアだけでなく、ジプシーの音楽、子守唄と、音楽は国境を越えて繋がりあう。音楽好きには堪らない。
