Olivia Ruff

Olivia Ruff was raised by a multigenerational musical family in Hawaii. She is known for her earthy tonality and soulful voice. A powerful performer Olivia is the lead vocalist with kaleidoscopic Bay Area-based five-piece band Mama’s Soup. She is a member of the musical collective Jazz Mafia, the dub and psychedelic trip-hop group Liberation Movement and has collaborated with many artists from Red Astaire in Sweden to Hawaii's Brother Nolan. She has performed at venues and festivals with a wide range of musical acts at home and abroad. Olivia writes and produces her own music and pulls from her deep multicultural musical roots in soul, hip-hop, reggae, pop and funk to create a sound that resonates from the islands to Oakland.
