Description

A set of languages without previous machine translation support got support from Google Translate (T308248) and, for many of those, Content and Section translation is not available by default. Support has been completed for an initial set (T313296), but for a few languages Google translate was not working and we prefer to wait until it is actually working. The languages not working are: Iloko (ilo), Bambara (bm), and Goan Konkani (gom).

This ticket proposes to enable Content and Section Translation and improve template support for the languages where those tools are not available by default (all the above except Illoko where the tools are already available):

Bambara (bm)
Goan Konkani (gom) (Google code: ~~kon~~ gom)

Steps:

Generate [template parameter alignments] completed as part of T313296 (https://github.com/digitalTranshumant/templatesAlignment/tree/master) (T221211)
- en -> bm (1)
- en -> gom (10)
Enable Section Translation in selected wikis on Test Wikipedia
Communicate with the communities
- Bambara
- Goan Konkani
Enable Content and Section Translation in the selected Wikipedias

Goan Konkani (gom) (Google code: kon)

Based on the Google Translate website, they seem to use "gom" as the ISO code when "Konkani" is selected from the menu. Example:
