Application
・Information necessary for application is described below.

– Inquiry Sheet and Checklist (Master’s Course, Doctoral Course)
・Application Documents are submitted during the above Application Period on the website of the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences. Guidelines for Applicants have been presented on this website.
・English score report is required to be submitted through email by PDF files to nyushi_nenv (atmark) k.u-tokyo.ac.jp by noon on July 19 (Fri), 2024 for Schedule A and by noon on January 17 (Fri), 2025 for Schedule B (Master’s Course Applicants for Special Selection for Applicants with Overseas Education and Doctoral Course Applicants).
・Both a copy of Master’s Thesis (or an equivalent work) and a Handout (two sheets of A4 size paper) for explaining the master thesis and the research plan are required to be submitted through email by PDF files to nyushi_nenv (atmark) k.u-tokyo.ac.jp by noon on July 19 (Fri), 2024 for Schedule A and by noon on January 17 (Fri), 2025 for Schedule B (Doctoral Course Applicants).
・Applicants are required to set up their mailers to be able to receive emails from the @edu.k.u-tokyo.ac.jp domain, as details about the entrance examination will be sent by email after the application has been submitted.
Preliminary consultation before Application
・Applicants for Master’s Course are recommended to get in touch with their prospective adviser(s) to ask their advice on the research proposal in advance of the application.
・Applicants for Doctoral Course are required to contact their prospective advisor and consult about their research plan in advance of the application. However, failure in prior consultation does not prevent application.
・Applicants from Overseas are strongly recommended to contact prospective adviser(s) to ask advice on the research proposal and the entrance preparation no later than 6 MONTHS before the examination date. Some laboratories may request them to be a research student before the entrance examination.
