这张录音是64年为配合加拿大导演的电影Le chat dans le sac（法国新浪潮风格）特别录制，Coltrane也未告知唱片公司。影片用了其中三首（cd前三首）。电影本身实验风格小制作，很快被遗忘，而科川两年后过世，此录音后来几乎无人知晓，直到2019年发行。这是四重奏巅峰期之作，也算是64年底A Love Supreme的前奏，这时期他们的音乐你无法不沉醉其中，你无法不流连忘返。
