HP20th Celebrations

In conjunction with the 20th anniversary of J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone, Kinokuniya Jurong Store held a celebration with Harry Potter related activities for Potterheads to partake in.

Before the sorting hat ceremony and snitch hunt, both of which were the main events for the day, fans of the Harry Potter book series were invited to get creative and do some paper tie colouring and HP related activity sheets.

As soon as fans saw the official HP life-sized standees along with photo booth props placed by the side, they quickly organised themselves and posed for photos. They seemed delighted to do so and to upload their pictures to their social media platforms. 11 lucky fans who had made purchases, followed us on our Instagram account (@kinokuniya_singapore) and tagged us in their photos also took home with them complimentary HP blind bags which we had given out.

There were some very passionate fans who came dressed up in their wizarding gear too!

Many fans who participated in the sorting house ceremony were also enthusiastic to take part in the snitch hunt. The 20 lucky participants who managed to find the golden snitches walked away with complimentary HP magnets.
