Book Talk: Westlessness

During the brief introduction to his book, author Samir thanked the audience for being there, especially his wife and young daughter who were amongst those seated. As he bantered with the moderator, Elliott Danker, Elliott revealed that Samir was a regular guest on his radio show and had already discussed the overarching idea behind Westlessness years ago on the show.

A cosy and diverse crowd of about 30 people from different ethnicities had gathered, eager to hear from Samir as he delved a little into the main ideas covered in his book.

When the floor was opened for questions, an audience member posed a question to Samir about American geo-politics and its potential rippling impact on the world, which he gladly answered. The crowd later dispersed and neatly formed a line for photo-taking and to get their books signed by Samir. He graciously took the time to greet and chat with each reader.
