Amazing work at building up dread from the atmosphere and pacing. The scares are solid, if not a bit cheap, and that true ending got me good.

The entire experience felt like a weird dream, and that made the bad ending that much more impactful. Great work!

Great scares, some solid tension and creepiness, I just wish it was longer and we got a better look.

The design of everything was amazing. Seriously fantastic artwork, and has a great setup for a full length game.

Honestly not exactly what I expected, but it was an absurd and fun little game with just enough scares.

The creepiness was great, and the payoff to opening the door was worth it. Fantastic tension throughout the game.

Amazing work for someone your age, the scares and tension were great and while I was a bit confused Santa came a day early it was a lot of fun.

It had some good scares, really serene music that the jumpscares were super effective.

If the jumpscare is a recorded video, you could play that in a widget that you add to the player's viewport, or if it's actually in game have a small area away from the play area with a camera, then switch camera, play the animation, then show the game over screen.

I loved the snowman model, and the game looks great, but the flashlight doesn't have any indicator on the battery dying, having to replay the intro on dying is a annoyance, and I feel like some very faint indicator of the present locations would be a huge help especially if the player is stuck in darkness. Looking forward to seeing how the development continues though!

It's pretty funny, but brutal at how slow you move and not having any checkpoints, especially at the parkour part.

Also, student loans are looking pretty good.

The sound design is top notch, and I was surprised at how scary an oversized ET can actually get when just inches behind you.

Loved the cell shading effect, and while the scares were pretty telegraphed the final payoff was worth it.

Thanks so much for checking it out!

It was pretty tense watching the number go up, but I felt like the payoff for that tension wasn't too scary. The rest was pretty fun and weird.

A absolute trip of a game, and not at all how I expected it would go down.Nice work!

Absolutely great work for your first game. To evolve on it, I'd suggest adding some randomization to the items (possibly adding more chests) and work on a way to break line of sight so you can escape the Butcher.

It plays more like a tech demo, having hardly any story. The monster in the icon looks awesome, just wish it actually was part of the game.

Really great work at building up the creepy atmosphere and the payoff was great.

Was not expecting a Call of Duty Zombies style of game, but it was fun and difficult. Only thing I could think of would be slowing the enemies down as they swarm you so quickly.

Starts off weird and doesn't stop, that ending was so tense just waiting for something to happen and the payoff was great. Fantastic work!

The jumpscare got me so good, but I think I broke the ending a bit or something.

Short but a lot of fun for such a weird game. Loved the monster's reveal and the really creepy face.

A good mix of cute and creepy that I feel like mascot style horror needs. Would love to know more about the environment in the demo though.

Loved the creepy factor in the game, it was certainly a fun little game to get scared by.

For your first full game on Itchio, it's pretty good. Maybe fix up that open back door to prevent explorers like me, but it did get me a few times.

Played the 1.1 release and  it's pretty fun. Glad you polished up the AI a bit because that skinless boy was brutal.

Thanks for checking it out! It was a lot of fun making it and glad you liked it.

Thanks for checking it out!

Not sure what happened, but the updated version I uploaded this afternoon will have it trigger once you get to the door and not walking away from it.

Awesome to see new games from you, and while there's a bit that could be polished up, the overall game is pretty creepy.

That's actually not a soft lock. Walk away from the door a bit and something should happen.

(1 edit)

Found the problem, it would only enable the chance to interact once.

Version 2 has that fixed and is uploaded now.

A very interesting and weird game, but that reveal was incredibly fun and I honestly didn't see it coming. Great work.

An interesting story, but I gave some feedback on how the delivery could be better conveyed. Loved the scares and the overall creep factor!

Definitely one of the weirdest games I've made, but it was a lot of fun and scratched that cooking style horror itch. Sadly, there wasn't any absurd failure ending.

Really nailed the design of a bitesized Puppet Combo game, and the only complaints I have are the same as actual Puppet Combo games so I think you did pretty well for your second game.

The atmosphere was great, really had me checking around the corners to see what was around me at all times.

It was short and simple, but had a good unsuspecting scare. I ran through it a few times thinking there were multiple endings because the exit door unlocks early.

Loved the non-euclidian design, it played very well and the sequences were solid. The sound effects were impactful, and the whole demo had an air of uneasiness throughout.
