The trucking industry is the backbone of global commerce, but it's also a prime target for cyberattacks. From ransomware assaults to data breaches and truck hacking, the landscape is ever-evolving, demanding innovative solutions, research, and collaborative action. In 2023, the trucking industry was the 8th most (cyber)attacked industry (IBM, 2024).
This year, we're shifting gears.
The National Motor Freight Traffic Association, Inc. (NMFTA)™ Cybersecurity Conference, formally known as the Digital Solutions Conference on Cybersecurity, is our annual event that merges all parts of the trucking security ecosystem.
Whether you're an IT pro on the front lines, a trucking executive seeking strategic guidance, or a cybersecurity researcher pushing boundaries, the NMFTA Cybersecurity Conference has something for you.
Once I returned to my company, I could not stop talking about the Conference. I spent a whole hour with my Cybersecurity team about how impactful the conference was.
Daragh’s fireside chat was definitely one of my favorite events of the conference!! Thank you for inviting him to speak!!
Great opportunity to connect with peers and share Cyber thoughts across the industry.
If you haven’t been to this conference, it is well worth attending the next one. Thanks to NMFTA staff for putting this conference on.
Tons of great practical advice and real-world discussions of recovering from ransomware and ensuring vehicle security.
Going to the conference was the best decision I ever made besides marrying my wife.
The tabletop was very informative hearing what the table would do and learning from them. And it was good to hear how they got hacked and how they were able to recover from it.
The depth of knowledge of the presenters has been very, very good. It's given us the whole picture from the top of the organization to the bottom. Dan Heinen, President & CEO, Kleinschmidt Inc.
I encourage my colleagues to come here to learn how fleet managers are thinking about cybersecurity and how tier one software OEM's can help them protect their vehicles because they are the main end customers. Siri Katragadda, Lead Engineer of Product Cybersecurity, Allison Transmission
The organization was fantastic. Everything was lined up, detailed, and on point... Overall, I think the conference was done well. Anonymous
I loved that the conference was smaller scale and wasn't vendor focused. I met some great people who were just like me and we had great conversations. No one was trying to sell me anything. They were just anxious to learn and share information. Anonymous
I always run into people from the industry and small businesses which are super important. I'm always glad to be here for this. Chase Cunningham, Ph.D., Dr. Zero Trust
What we're seeing, as a result of the years of research into these systems, is that there are many risks. We have the opportunity to be ahead of the curve, and to help create controls, processes, and awareness that should prevent the same thing from happening in trucks as it has been happening in enterprise systems. Ben Gardiner, Senior Cybersecurity Research Engineer, NMFTA
