The Financial Aid Office is here to serve you, both virtually and in-person. You can get answers to basic financial aid questions by asking Mālama, UH Hilo's Chatbot, and by viewing Financial Aid TV videos.

Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm (HST), excluding state holidays
When contacting our office, please have your UH ID Number/Username readily available.
Non-directory education records are considered confidential and will not be released without written consent from the student.
Students may use the Consent to Disclose Financial Aid Information to a Third Party (PDF) form to authorize the person(s) identified to have access to otherwise confidential information protected under the FERPA law.

February is Financial Aid Awareness month! Join the UH Hilo Financial Aid Office FAFSA completion workshop for guidance and support. Get your questions answered as we help you complete your FAFSA with confidence.

2025-26 FAFSA Information
The 2025-26 FAFSA is now available! Complete the application online if you plan to attend during the Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026 semesters.
2025-26 UH System Common Scholarship Application Due March 3, 2025
Students planning to attend UH Hilo during the 2025-26 academic year are encouraged to complete the University of Hawaiʻi System Common Scholarship Application . This one application allows you to apply for many different UH Foundation scholarships through UH Hilo and the UH System. The deadline is March 3, 2025 at 4pm HST.
