We’re here to support you as you progress through your degree, and help you understand the policies and procedures that inform your graduate education.

Degrees staff track your progress from registration to graduation. After speaking with staff in your department, you can consult with our staff about Qualifying Exams, advancement to candidacy, filing fees, probation, and re-enrollment.

If you’re a graduate student with questions about how a policy might impact your particular program of study, reach out to your Graduate Student Affairs Officer first. If they don’t know they answer to your question, they can reach out to our staff for support.

Berkeley offers the opportunity to create an interdisciplinary major of their own design, as well as exchange programs with the UC system Intercampus Exchange, Berkeley-Stanford exchange, and the Exchange Scholar program.
