Vagalume is a Last.fm client. It can play Last.fm radios, tag songs and scrobble them among other things. Although it works in standard PCs, its main focus is the Maemo platform. It works in the Nokia 770, N800 and N810.

Vagalume - Client for Last.fm and compatible services ----------------------------------------------------- Vagalume is a Last.fm client based on Gnome, and specially designed to work in the Maemo platform. It is known to work in Nokia devices with the following operating systems: * Internet Tablet OS 2006 (Nokia 770) * Internet Tablet OS 2007 (Nokia N800 and 770 using Hacker Edition) * Internet Tablet OS 2008 (Nokia N810 and updated N800) * Maemo 5 (Nokia N900) Besides that, it also works in standard PCs. Vagalume has been tested and developed in a desktop PC running Debian GNU/Linux, but it is reported to work in other GNU/Linux distributions and it should work in any Unix-like system that meets the following requirements: * GStreamer 0.10 or 1.0 * GTK+ 2 or 3 * Gnome libxml2 * libcurl There is also support for Intel's Moblin platform. Vagalume has the following features: * It plays Last.fm streams using the Last.fm protocol v1.2 * It can play any Last.fm radio: library, neighbours, loved tracks, or any other arbitrary URL. * It can download free tracks * It implements the Audioscrobbler Realtime Submission Protocol v1.2, specifically: * Now Playing information * Scrobbling of tracks that you listen * Love/Ban ratings * It displays the album cover of the track being played * Tray icon and desktop notifications * Bookmarks * Gettext support * D-BUS services and a script to control them from the command line * The user can tag artists, tracks and albums * The user can send recommendations to other users * The user can add tracks to their playlist * Support for any server compatible with the Last.fm protocol -------------------------------------------------------- Vagalume is (c) 2007-2013 Igalia, S.L. http://vagalume.igalia.com/ http://garage.maemo.org/projects/vagalume/ The default icons have been taken from the Gnome 2.20.0 icon theme, downloaded from this URL: ftp://ftp.gnome.org/pub/gnome/sources/gnome-icon-theme/2.20/ Vagalume also contains a free MD5 implementation that is (c) 1999 Aladdin Enterprises.
