The ERCIM Postdoctoral Fellow was the keystone that I needed in my career. Finishing your PhD at a young age puts you in a difficult position because scientific and personal development have to take place simultaneously to a great extent. The ERCIM Fellowship Programme was for me the perfect opportunity to hone my scientific and personal skills and make me ready to initiate independently the path that leads to becoming a professor.
