Workshop on ThingsLinker development Board
The Day 2 celebration of IEEE Day started with an introductory session by Mr. Vineet Kumar Tiwari, Student Branch Counsellor under the umbrella of IEEE UCER student branch (STB15147) on 01/10/2024 for BTech EED 2nd year students. He gave a brief overview of IEEE, its global impact, and the numerous opportunities. He explained about IEEE branch society role and responsibilities to students and professionals in technology and engineering fields. Following this, Mr. Vaibhav Jaiswal led an interactive Q&A session, where he explained the benefits of IEEE membership. He discussed access to resources, networking, conferences, and skill-building opportunities. He also guided the students on the steps to take membership and how to make the most of it.
The event then moved into a technical session by Mr. Gautam Kumar Verma and Mr. Ashwar Srivastava, where they introduced the *ThingsLinker Development Board*. They explained its features, applications in IoT projects, and how it can be used for smart device development, giving students hands-on exposure to the technology.
The day ended with refreshments, allowing the students to network and reflect on the knowledge they gained, setting a positive tone for the rest of the IEEE Day celebrations. Total no. of participants were fifty.
