-The event was a webinar, part of a series of virtual workshops hosted for IEEE Esprit SB's IEEE Day program. In this session, we explored the fascinating world of AI and its growing impact on Generation Z, offering valuable insights into the future shaped by technological advancements.


-The episode began with a warm welcome by Hadil Haffouz, the chapter’s chair, thereafter, a brief introduction to IEEE ESPRIT CIS SBC took place, with its achievements and action plan for the current mandate.

-Then, Mr Lamjed, the session' speaker, porceeded with welcoming everyone and giving us a brief summary about the session, in which these following points were discussed:

  • Nobel Prize Wins on Protein

-Key discoveries in protein structure, like insulin and DNA synthesis, have earned multiple Nobel Prizes.

  • Generational Demands (Gen X to Alpha)

-Each generation faces unique life demands, with Gen Z seeking authenticity and Gen Alpha prioritizing innovation and connectivity.

  • App Store Evolution

-App stores have evolved with each generation, from productivity apps (Gen X) to interactive and AI-driven experiences (Gen Z and Alpha).

  • Four Harms of Gen Z

-Social isolation, sleep deprivation, attention fragmentation, and addiction are major challenges for Gen Z.

  • Fighting These Harms

-Resilience can be built through mindfulness, authenticity, positive habits, and taking time off from screens.

  • Designing a Joyful Life

-Books like "Designing Your Life" help readers use design-thinking to create a well-lived, joyful life.

  • Bloom's Taxonomy & AI Impact

-AI accelerates learning but risks undermining deeper thinking stages in Bloom’s taxonomy.

  • AI Tools Replacing Reading

-AI tools offer shortcuts to reading, but critical thinking still requires full engagement with content.

  • Ikigai Method

-The Ikigai method helps individuals find purpose by aligning passion, skills, and societal needs, with audiobooks as a tool for continuous learning.
