As part of the IEEE Day 2024 celebrations, we started the event with Background of IEEE DAY and Benefits of joining IEEE by Dr. V. Sandeep a distinguished member of IEEE and a respected faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Andhra Pradesh.

Followed by a technical talk on the topic 'Future of E-Mobility: High-Power Capacitive Wireless Charging Systems', delivered by Dr. Kodeeswaran S, a distinguished member of IEEE and a respected faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Andhra Pradesh.

Biography:

Vuddanti Sandeep (S’09) received the B.Tech. degree in electrical engineering from the PBR Visvodaya Institute of Technology and Science, Kavali, India, and the M.Tech. degree in power electronics and drives from the Vellore Institute of Technology University, Vellore, India, in 2007 and 2009, respectively. He received Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, India. He is currently working assistant professor in electrical engineering department at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Andhra Pradesh. His research interests include renewable energy for standalone systems, power electronic drive systems, and computer-aided design of electric machines using SPEED, MotorSolve, Motor-CAD, MagNet, and FLUX. Dr. Sandeep is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Biography:

KODEESWARAN S received the B.E degree inelectrical and electronics engineering and M.Edegree in power electronics and drives from AnnaUniversity, Tamil Nadu, India in 2010 and 2018respectively. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D.degree in electrical engineering from SASTRADeemed University, Tamil Nadu, India. He isworking on high power high efficiency capacitivepower transfer for electric vehicles. His researchinterest also includes wideband gap deviceapplication on the wireless power transfer.
