The IEEE Vehicular Technology Society Student Branch Chapter at NSSCE organized a  workshop on Electric Vehicle modelling using MATLAB and Simulink, as part of IEEE Day Celebration 2024. The workshop aimed to enhance participant's understanding of technology-driven design processes for Electric Vehicles. The session was led by Mr. Navaneeth Madathil, Research and Development Engineer at Bumblebee Instruments Pvt. Ltd. He provided comprehensive knowledge on the theory behind Electric Vehicles, one of the rapidly growing fields in research and development. He also introduced the fundamentals of MATLAB and Simulink, which will be highly beneficial for aspiring engineers in their future projects. Around 30 enthusiastic participants actively engaged in the workshop, eager to gain valuable insights on the topic. The concept of grouping students and assigning tasks added an interactive element, making the session more engaging. Participants left with a deeper understanding of the future role of Electric Vehicles and how MATLAB and Simulink can aid in the advancement of their projects. Overall, the session was a great success, inspiring students to explore the exciting world of Electric Vehicles and equipping them with essential tools for designing projects using MATLAB and Simulink.
