Sony released a software update for its mobile app for video creators, Monitor and Control, Ver2.2.0.
Monitor & Control is a mobile app that enables wireless and wired video monitoring of compatible cameras and USB, support for highly accurate exposure decisions using false color and waveform monitors, and intuitive focus operation on the screen of a smartphone or tablet.
With this update, the monitoring function of “Monitor & Control” will be expanded to be even easier to use.
Sony Monitor and Control Major Updates
Expanded functionality for single-camera monitoring
Aspect markers and safety zones are newly displayed on the monitoring screen. It is possible to shoot while checking the angle of view and composition.
Expanded multi-camera monitoring capabilities
It expands the multi-camera monitoring function that allows up to four cameras to be wirelessly connected to a single iPad, and multiple cameras can be operated, displayed, and captured, such as start/stop recording, setting list/battery level display, etc.
With this update, you will be able to change the settings of each camera one by one during multi-camera monitoring, without having to change to each camera’s individual screen. This allows you to control the camera’s shutter speed, exposure adjustments, and more from your iPad while monitoring multiple cameras. However, iPadOS 16.0 or later is required.
