Abstract
A technique for determining the vector displacement that maximizes the spatially local cross-correlation between an image and a reference image as a continuous function of the image space is presented. This is applied to solar observations of granulation made during a condition of rapidly changing atmospheric distortion, a particular turbulence condition wherein features are remapped without loss of spatial resolution.
