Context Menu for Traditional Search Results
Added a […] menu next to all traditional search results, making it easy to filter or remove websites from search results and share feedback about individual results more easily.
Added Yelp Ratings and Reviews
Local results for professional services now include Yelp star ratings and review excerpts when available.
Swipe To Delete Search and Browsing History
You can now delete individual items from your search and browsing history that appear in autocomplete, including your recently visited sites and searches, with a quick swipe.
Suggestions for Already-Open Tabs
If you already have a tab open that matches what you're searching, the iOS browser will suggest switching to that tab, so you don't have to make a new search.
Added Duck Player
Now on Android, DuckDuckGo's optional built-in video player lets you watch YouTube videos more privately without targeted ads and prevents your viewing activity from influencing video recommendations. You can enable Duck Player in Settings.
New Safety Measure: Origin URLs in Download Confirmations
When you start a download from a website, you will now see a URL in the download confirmation dialog to indicate origin of the download. This helps prevent bad actors from making it look like a malicious download is coming from a trusted site.
Improved Tab Management
You can now toggle between a grid view and a list view on your tab management page. You can also drag and drop tabs to reorder them.
"General" Settings Category
We've moved a few settings to a new General section, where you'll find options to manage features like autocomplete suggestions and Private Voice Search.
Delete Individual Autocomplete Suggestions
You can now delete autocomplete suggestions, including your recently visited sites and searches, by long-pressing on any entry.
Improved PDF Handling
Fixed identified issues with opening and downloading PDFs.
Customize Your New Tab Page
We've added customization options for your New Tab Page background. Choose from preset colors and gradients or upload your own images.
Automatically Skip Duplicate Passwords on Import
When importing passwords, logins you've already saved in the built-in password manager won't be duplicated.
Automated Updates in the Background
You'll receive a notification when an update is available, and the update will be installed automatically upon restart. Change your automatic update preferences in Settings > About.
Improved Bookmark Management
You can now search for bookmarks and sort them by name from the bookmarks panel.
New Duck Player Settings
You can now choose to autoplay videos opened in Duck Player and opt to open Duck Player in new tabs by default. Both options can be found in Settings > Duck Player.
Autoplay YouTube Videos in Duck Player
You can now choose whether you want videos opened in Duck Player to start playing automatically in Settings > Duck Player.

Easy-To-Read Private Duck Addresses
Private Duck Addresses have a new format! When you generate an address, you'll get a random three-word phrase, like abacus-retouch-tree@duck.com, instead of a string of alphanumeric characters.
Easy-To-Find Subscription Settings
You can now find Privacy Pro in browser Settings, making it easier to get to subscription management.
New Feedback Form
Added a new Privacy Pro feedback option to the main browser feedback form and Privacy Pro Settings, as well as DuckDuckGo VPN Settings.
More Ways To Pay for Privacy Pro
When signing up for Privacy Pro, you can now choose to pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Stripe Link, Cash App Pay, and Amazon Pay.
Windows: Automatic VPN Connection
On Windows, we added a setting that lets the VPN connect automatically when you log in to your computer.
Windows: Custom DNS
On Windows, you can now specify a custom DNS server in VPN Settings.
iOS: VPN Snooze
On iOS, you can now "snooze" the VPN to help access sites and apps incompatible with VPNs.
Improved Scan Performance
Initial scans now take less time and Personal Information Removal now more reliably detects when your information has been removed from the data broker sites.
Upgraded Chat Model Added
Upgraded DuckDuckGo AI Chat with newer chat model, Llama 3.1 70B, which you can use for chats that are private and never saved or used to train AI models. With DuckDuckGo AI Chat, you can also privately use GPT-4o mini, Claude 3 Haiku, and Mixtral 8x7B.
Download Your Chats
You can now export and save your current AI Chat as a .txt file.

Refreshed the duck.ai chat page with updated design and layout.
