Abstract
In many situations, e.g. in academic and scientific computing, where neither time nor financial support allow developers to address more than the core problem, it is most important to have mechanisms that automatically serve for many important software engineering concerns. This paper describes a general data distribution architecture, very suitable for transparent access to software components, applied to the problem of sharing software libraries for high performance computers. The system has proved to be very efficient and simulations and tests have together shown that the scalability is very high due to extensive cache usage and several proactive components.
