Abstract
The proliferation of social networking and sharing of all kinds of information, including location information, triggered the emergence of new services, including location-based services. In this paper we enhance location-based services by adding a temporal component, allowing information about past and future locations to be considered.
Such services may be important for those who want other know their locations, for personal or professional reasons, for example allowing others to have knowledge of ones agenda, including locations and times, without need to establish personal contact.
We defined an architecture that provides location-based services to users of social networks, including information about time and space, which can be accessed through the social network or a mobile application.
To assert the validity of the proposed framework, we defined case studies to evaluate the system, where real situations were considered.
