Abstract

In this paper, we propose a new mobility information network for disaster and emergent information systems in sensor technology. Road side wireless nodes and mobile nodes so called smart roadside shelter (SRS) and smart mobility box (SMB) with various sensors and different wireless communication devices organize a large scale information infrastructure without conventional wired network. Eventually, very economical and cost-effective mobility network environment can be realized by V2X communication protocols. In this paper, its system configuration and architecture are precisely explained. The expected applications and services for disaster and emergent cases are also discussed. The feasibility of the proposed system is discussed through the preliminary experimental prototype discussed.
